The color of the sapphire is deep, rich violet with intense sparkle and glitter that seems to jump from the center of the stone. We purchased this stone on one of our frequent gem buying trips to Sri Lanka, or old Ceylon, where we carefully choose each individual stone by hand from a variety of dealers and sources.
