One of our personal favorites! There is something so exquisite, so old world, in this combination of old mine-cut diamond and this modern gold filigree mounting. The colors and textures come together into one perfect piece. Cut sometime between 1880 and 1909, this diamond faceted in old mine cut, and glows with the luminescence that cut is known for. Old mine-cut diamonds were cut completely by hand, with fewer, larger facets than modern stones. They have an open culet (the point on the bottom) and in the right light, they can seem to glow from within.
