Because emerald can be a fragile stone, we’re always cautious when we set it into an everyday style jewelry piece. This Victorian ladies’ ring, however, makes a great setting for an emerald! The prongs both secure and protect the stone, and the profile and shape of the ring make it easy to wear.
This mounting dates to the 1890s to 1900s and was likely set with a diamond when it was crafted. We’ve removed the original stone and replaced it with a new, glowing green, Colombian Emerald.
Like most of our precious gems, we purchased this stone on location, during one of our many buying trips.
